SNOW DAY

In the early morning
on days like today
you will find my dad waiting for the phone
to ring
and
hear the words others long for:
SNOW DAY!

I WAS THERE

I was there when history changed. At 12:05 I watched a new era begin. And it was welcomed with loud cheers and lots of love. After battling the crowds to arrived at the mall at 7am; Amy and I stood for hours trying to keep warm in the 17 degree weather. Nothing could prepare you for the amount of people. Nothing. It was a sight I will never forget. I met people from close to home and far away and felt as one. We were all there celebrating something remarkable. We were in Washington DC for just one day, but it was the best day one could spend in the city. Nothing will be the same again and I was there when it happened.

Hero of the Day

Tina Fey is my hero of the day. She won for her show 30 Rock. During Fey's speech she told the audience that, "If you ever start to feel too good about yourself, they have this thing called the Internet. You can find a lot of people there who don't like you." She then continued by calling these cyberhaters out by name and telling them each to "suck it." It seems odd when put this way, but I hate haters. She has done what everyone whats to do and tell all those people to shut up and stop their complaining. They feel the Internet was created for their personal bitching grounds. Everyone knows the Internet was created for porn. (those of you who have seen the musical Avenue Q know what I am talking about!) My visits to my movie info web sites are plagued with these people. Congratulations to Tina Fey for a funny show that I don't get to watch enough of. You tell'em!

P.S. - The pictures of the ice wall on the side of our house and a t-shirt from Threaless called The Communist Party. A must have
